We also just got back from our first international family vacation and I second many of these recs. Packing cubes, eye masks, collapsible water bottles. I used my Loop earplugs a lot. Earbuds/traditional earplugs often fall out for me (something about the shape of my ear) but these stay in. I can also confirm that the Mobile Passport Control app was very helpful when we went through customs at JFK. We had only one other person in line with us compared to the regular line that was quite long. A few other things we brought that I’d bring again - laundry sheets, Airalo for an e-sim card if your regular phone plan doesn’t support international calls (ours doesn’t), a good stash of ziplocs for carrying snacks during the day that we’d buy in bigger quantities at a grocery store, and a small duffel that packs up super small in case you buy souvenirs and your regular bags get too full!
I hope your family had a fabulous trip, Kathleen! And these are GREAT tips, especially the ziploc stash! Excellent call on the extra duffel. I should have mentioned that I brought a travel backpack (this one: https://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/126140) and was planning to use it for the same purpose, but we didn’t end up buying that much.
I don't need the Cadence capsules...but I really, really want them. 🙈
Their siren song is powerful!!
Just ordered the OG 2 in dark navy with camel interior. This is exactly what I have been looking for! Thank you, Abby.
Your vacations sounds wonderful.
Yay! I'm so glad this was helpful! I hope your OG 2 helps fuel many adventures.
